D.O.R.A. (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area)

Overview

D.O.R.A. (as officially defined by the State of Ohio) would allow alcoholic beverages, in approved containers, to be openly carried from Vine Street to Pine Street, and First Avenue to Third Avenue. This would be in compliance with Section 4301.82 of the Ohio Revised Code.

So What's the Beef?

Citizens are complaining about D.O.R.A. and that it will allow drunks to walk around the city. In addition to that, the group against D.O.R.A. has now jumped on the bandwagon of saying that the mandatory D.O.R.A. cups will contribute to an uncontrollable amount of litter in their community.
